This is a very nice example of the rare Colwyn Cabriolet offered by Austin as a factory built model from 1933 until 1937.
It has all the practicality of the saloon with seating for four and full doors with wind up windows but with the option of a 3 position folding roof with the ornate yet functional chrome "pram irons" that lock the hood in the closed position.
The car was carefully restored many years ago and then sparingly used and well maintained by the same family until last year, when acquired by a friend of the family along with a second Austin 10, unfortunately he doesn't have room for them both so this one is reluctantly for sale.
Starting easily "on the button", the car really drives very well for a car of the period, have enough power for the hills and cable brakes that pull up well.
The owner has taken the car for a voluntary mot test last year which is still current, we will service the car on sale and send it out with a new mot ready for the show season or just those summer evening jaunts to the beach or local pub.
