1967 Austin Healey Sprite Mk3

This is an interesting project, last on the road in 1989, it looks like it was restored and in nice condition when it was put away in the garage on blocks 37 years ago, the panel work is remarkably solid, the floors have shiny red paint on them underneath where the underseal has come off. The sills, floors, wings, etc are all remarkably good the drivers side a post  and the drivers door bottom will need attention and the bonnet hinges are quite sticky.

The interior had some monumental cobwebs (which have now been removed!) but it all looks as if it should clean up well and be quite smart.

The Ashley fastback hardtop is a rather nice extra, to fit this you unbolt the boot lid and hood and frame, the boot lid is with the car, but not the hood or frame. The paint is peeling on the roof, but it is complete and fits nicely.

Everything is in place in the engine bay, but I think the engine is siezed and there has been something nesting in the back corner by the master cylinders which has caused surface rust, so the engine bay will need stripping out and repainting and the components going through.

The car rolls freely and the handbrake sort of works, the brakes will need going through and I think it might be time to replace the "Esso" branded tyres, (I wasn't aware until now they made tyres, but apparently they stopped making them in the 1970's!).

There is no paperwork with the car other than the tax disc in the window, but a new V5C has been applied for from the DVLA.
