1970 Fiat 500

This is a lovely sound example of this iconic little Italian, it is an original righthand drive car with the desirable round speedo and in shiny red!

There is some history with the car which suggests it has been well maintained and used lightly for the past few years.

There is an invoice for an engine rebuild in 1990, which admittedly is a while ago, but according to the history the car has done less than 10,000 miles since, there was some bodywork done the same year, new sills, front wings and front panel. More recently there is an invoice for a full brake overhaul, the master cylinder, wheel cylinders and shoes were replaced along with wheel bearings, engine mounts etc, etc.

The car is in very good order, the paintwork and chrome are smart, the interior is presentable, with seat belts fitted front and rear. There is evidence of previous welding repairs underneath, but done to a good standard and solid.

The engine starts easily with its distinctive two cylinder soundtrack, progress, as you would expect is not particularly rapid, but it is great fun, bringing a smile to the occupants and other road users in equal measure! The ride is surprisingly smooth and comfortable for a car of the size and age.

There are 6 previous owners, the current one for five years, the previous but one for 25 years.

Although the car is tax and mot exempt, the current owner likes to take it for a voluntary mot each year, the current one runs until 29th July 2023.
