This intriguing little kit car was built on a Fiat Uno Turbo donor car, which was one of the biggest grin factor hot hatches of the early 1990's, but like any Fiat of the era, rusted out before your very eyes!
This example is correctly registered as an Onyx Firecat on the registration document on an 04 plate.
It would appear to have been well built and finished with I would imagine a lot of new parts when put together, the gauges, Spax adjustable coilovers on the front, Spax adjustable shocks on the rear, alloy wheels, big bore stainless steel exhaust, etc.
It also has an adjustable boost control in the cockpit, a dump valve and a pretty big intercooler, so it is quite lively when it needs to be!
That said, being fuel injected, it starts easily and runs very sweetly and is an easy car to drive. We have just fitted a new water pump and cam belt (with tensioners) and changed the oil, filter and plugs.
The tyres look recent with plenty of tread.
The car will be sold with 12 months mot.
The bodywork is in its original gel coat which has some minor scratches here and there, but is still very presentable, the car comes with a factory hardtop, but no soft top, but it wouldn't be too tricky to make something up that would keep the rain of in an emergency (either that or just drive faster until you get home!)
