1978 Landrover Series 3 Diesel project

Despite its spectacularly scruffy paintwork, this is actually very sound of chassis, the bulkhead will need the usual footwells and a post repairs, but is all good around the vents. Both side doors are shot, so either new door tops and bottoms (about £200 the lot) or a pair of secondhand doors required. 

Mechanically a bit of an unknown, I put a battery on and the engine cranked over, but sounds low on compression on one cylinder, could be a stuck valve or blown head gasket. It was previously owned by a chap with a big house and a long driveway who just used it to take his wheelie bin to the end of the drive and back until it expired about 10 years ago and it was left in a lean to shed.

It rolls freely and obviously is sold as a restoration project.
