This is a very good, sound example of the game changing Mini.
Apparently one of the very last cars built, it was used as a demonstrator by Evans Halshaw of Reading until purchased by the current registered keeper in 2001 for his wife's use, so the car has two registered owners.
The recorded mileage is just over 70k.
The car had quite a lot of restoration work done in the last couple of years including new sills, subframe and a all the red bits repaired where necessary and repainted, unfortunately there was no paperwork for this recent expenditure, but the owner estimated it to be in the region of £8000.
Prior to that there is a good file of all the earlier history.
Since the car has been with us, we have given it a full service, fitted new front brake callipers, disks and pads, new rear wheel cylinders, shoes and hoses, new battery, new front bumper and spotlights and cleaned off the underside and given it a dose of wax protection.
All this means the car is good to go for the next owner, the price also includes a new mot for peace of mind.
Whilst the car is in very good order, it isn't perfect, it is a 26 year old Mini with 70k on the clock, the paint on the roof is original and has some marks, the headlining has some marking, the interior leather has some marking and signs of use and as usual with a Mini of this age, the second gear synchro won't be rushed (fine if you treat it kindly!). All this can either be lived with or improved, but that is why it isn't a £20k Mini!
It is a smart, useable little car with low owners and low miles for less than some poorer cars are advertised for!
