1966 Austin Healey 3000 MK3

This is a very good, useable example of the best "Big Healey", the last of the line BJ8, with more power, wind up windows and a roof that doesn't take 10 minutes to put up!

It has a manual overdrive gearbox and chrome wire wheels.

This one was an ex dry state US import in the 1990's, when it was converted to right hand drive and repainted, but other than that seems to be a well maintained and original car that has seen little use in recent years

We used to service and look after the car about 20 years ago, when it had a fair amount of work done including a gearbox rebuild and new clutch. it has spent the last few years in dry storage so we have just gone through it and recommissioned the car.

It has been fitted with new tyres, new disks, calipers, pads and brake hoses on the front, new wheel cylinders and hoses on the rear brakes, new battery, oils changed, new electronic ignition distributor, plugs and leads.

The car runs and drives very nicely, making all the right noises whether you want to press on enthusiastically or cruise along gently in overdrive top.

This isn't a newly restored car, so there are the odd blemishes in the paintwork here and there and the trim is mostly original , so does show some wear in places, but being 60 years old this year, a bit of character doesn't go amiss!

That said the car polishes up well and turns heads wherever it goes and is eminently useable, ready for a new pilot and its next adventures!
